Sammiches Time Again
Goldfish Sandwich
Bread.
Tofu.
Cheese.
Olive oil.
Red onions.
Hummus.
About 10 minutes.
1) Slice 4 1cm thick strips of tofu. Firm tofu works better, but the soft stuff will suffice if you know how to be delicate.
2) Place the strips of tofu and sliced onions in a frying pan with olive oil.
3) Let fry until tofu is golden and crispy. Don’t burn nothing.
4) Spread hummus on bread. Use a spoon to avoid injury.
5) On top of the hummus’d bread stack some fried tofu, cheese, more fried tofu, onions, and the top piece of bread. You know, like a sandwich.
6) One could reasonably grill and/or toast this item for added satisfaction.
7) Eat it!
Fun Tip: make your next Goldfish Sandwich vegan by substituting soy-cheese for the real thing! Just like mom used to replace!
